Club Growth Director Report – May/June 2016

Area Director Visits

Congratulations to the 15 Area Directors who turned in at least 75% of their club visit reports by the May 31 deadline.

Nine Area Directors turned in 100% and that indicates your dedication to the success of the clubs in your Area.

Thanks so much. The 68 clubs visited appreciate the interest shown in their activities by District 54 officers.

Membership Renewals and New Clubs

We only need 230 more member payments and 6 more Distinguished Clubs to meet our goal of being a Distinguished Toastmasters District. Sadly we have lost 5 clubs in the District this year. It has been a tough year for corporate clubs. But the news about new clubs is encouraging.

Welcome Effective Communicator Toastmasters Club

Congratulations to the new Effective Communicator Toastmasters (Club #5334107) which chartered on May 27.

This is a new Caterpillar club in East Peoria and will be included in Division C, Area 31. Our thanks for the hard work of Najeem Dayisi as well as the two club Sponsors, Martin Rumbolt and Dominic Eppolito.

Club mentors Sarah Krieger and Mike Mullin are set to work to get this club off to a strong start.

This is the second club chartered in our District this year – Mapleton Risers in Mapleton was first in October.

AGWN Voices, Batavia, Ill.

AGWN Voices in Batavia will be number three as they have submitted all paperwork and funds and will be acknowledged by TI next week. There is a possibility of chartering 2 more before year-end and 7 more that need some work next year to finish the chartering process.

Keep talking up Toastmasters.

Officer Lists for 2016-2017 Toastmasters' Year

47 Clubs have turned in their Officer lists for the 2016-17 Toastmasters year. If your club has elected new officers, remember to turn their names in on the Toastmasters International website by June 30 to receive credit toward your DCP goals. If you haven’t held elections yet, please do so before June 30.

Don’t leave your club’s leadership undetermined.

The final days of the 2015-16 Toastmasters year will prove to be very exciting as we rush toward our goals.

Cece Wroblewski, DTM
Club Growth Director
