November Message – Video Brand Contest

Video Brand Contest

Clubs have made great efforts to incorporate Toastmasters-brand materials into the meeting and promotion materials. However, some clubs may not have the funds to purchase branded materials and for those clubs, help is on the way! Enter the Toastmasters monthly brand video contest and give your club a chance to win a branded banner, a lectern or marketing materials.  The contest runs now through December 31, 2015.

Winning Clubs

Each month, the top 10 club videos will be entered into a drawing. One club will be selected to win branded materials (e.g., banner, lectern) valued at $100, plus shipping. The winning club will be announced the first week of the following month.

To Enter the Contest

Send a short video of your club members showing their excitement for the Toastmasters brand. To compete for the month of December 2015, email a link of your club’s video by December 31, 2015. View tips on how to create a better quality video.

Members are achieving Excellence

Our members are doing exceptionally well this year in achieving their educational and leadership goals. Our district has achieved 47 communication and 53 leadership designations, so far this year. I applaud all of these members and want to encourage everyone stay on track to achieve your goals. It’s a good time of the year to review your goals. We have had 3 HPL projects completed this year as well.

Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI)

Our TLIs are scheduled: TLI South will be at ISU is January 9th, 2016 and the Dean is Jordan Sovereign, TLI West will be at WIU is January 23rd, 2016 and the Dean is Margaret Lawler, and TLI North will be at City Hall in St. Charles on February 6th, 2016 and the Dean is Maria Sarli-Dehlin. When you see these folks, please congratulate them for stepping up and if you can offer your help. I am sure they would appreciate it.

We had 10 clubs train all seven officers during the first session; I would like to challenge the clubs to double this number. Let’s try for 20 clubs to get all 7 members trained.

Respectfully submitted,

Valerie Horton, DTM
Program Quality Director
