Program Quality Director Report – April 2016
Toastmasters District 54 Spring Conference - April 22-23, 2016
Welcome Toastmasters and guests to the 2016 Spring Conference and to the District Council Meeting. The Chairs have planned an exciting and educational day ahead, so please take advantage of the educational sessions, opportunities, to network, enjoy the speech contest, and most of all have fun!
Our members are doing exceptionally well this year in achieving their educational and leadership goals. Our district has achieved 104 communication and 90 leadership designations, so far this year. We have had 6 High Performance Leadership (HPL) projects completed this year as well.
I applaud all of these members and want to encourage everyone stay on track to achieve your goals. There are 10 weeks left in this toastmaster year to complete your goals.
Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI)
Our TLIs are scheduled:
- TLI South will be at Illinois State University on June 18th and the Dean is Rakesh Chandra
- TLI North will be at Fountaindale Public Library in Bolingbrook on July 30th, and the Dean is Rich Lane
- TLI West is still working on the venue and the Dean is Jenn Yates.
When you see these folks, please congratulate them for stepping up and if you can offer your help. I am sure they would appreciate it.
The following clubs had all seven officers trained during the winter session:
These two clubs will receive a ribbon at lunch.
Some clubs were very close in getting all seven trained. Remember that only the actual officer listed at World Headquarters can get credit for the role they are serving. Someone else can’t get credit for attending the training.
Distinguished Club Program (DCP)
As of April 20,2016, we have 7 clubs that have achieved select distinguished and 4 that have achieved distinguished. What will it take for your club to be distinguished this year?
Enjoy today and let the members of you club know what a great time you had this week-end and encourage them to attend the next conference. They won’t regret it.
