2019-2010 District 54 Incentives

District Council Meeting

All incentives must be claimed within 30 days after meeting the requirements. If the requirements are met after May 2020, the claim must be made before June 19, 2020.


Program Quality


1.Club Success Plan

Part I

The first 10 clubs to complete a Club Success Plan by October 31, 2019 and meet the criteria outlined below will earn a choice of the following incentives (worth ~ $50 in value):

  • Social media advertising for club
  • Reimbursement for open house or guest day
  • Gift from the TI store

Success Plan Criteria:

  • Includes goals and tasks to become and/or maintain Charter strength (20 members) by the end of the Toastmasters year. These goals and tasks could include come from a combination of retention and/or membership building ideas.
  • Includes goals and tasks to achieve Distinguished status or better by the end of the Toastmasters year.
  • Plan must be reviewed and discussed with the Area and/or Division Director and submitted to the District Trio after discussion.

This incentive will be paid out to clubs in the January 2020 timeframe.

Part II

Each club that submits a Club Success Plan AND meets criteria to achieve Distinguished status by May 31, 2020 will receive a choice of the following:

  • Social media advertising for club
  • Reimbursement for open house or guest day
  • Gift from the TI store

Incentive amounts will vary based on achievement level:

  • Distinguished criteria met = (Incentive ~ $25 in value)
  • Select Distinguished criteria met = (Incentive ~ $35 in value)
  • President’s Distinguished criteria met = (Incentive ~$50 in value)

This incentive will be paid out to clubs in the June 2020 timeframe.


2. Moments of Truth

The first 10 clubs to complete The Moments of Truth presentation and incorporate suggested improvements into their club success plan will earn a choice of the following incentives (worth ~ $25 in value):

  • Social media advertising for club
  • Reimbursement for open house or guest day
  • Gift from the TI store

The presentation must have been conducted between July 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019. The Area Director must send a copy of the club meeting agenda, the club success plan, and a list of suggested improvements that were added to the success plan. These documents should be sent to the Program Quality Director for verification.

This incentive will be paid out to clubs in the January 2020 timeframe.

*NOTE: The "Moments of Truth" MUST be the full program where the club analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of the club with full participation from the club members. This is not to be, for example, a speech summarizing the main points of the program. The intent of this incentive is for the club to develop a strategy to fix their weaknesses, so that they can have better quality meetings which will lead to membership growth and "Distinguished" status. pqdirector@d54toastmasters.com


3. Pathways Adoption

The first 10 clubs to achieve the following Pathways Adoption goals by December 31, 2019 will receive their choice of the following incentives (worth ~ $50.00)

  • Social media advertising for club
  • Reimbursement for open house or guest day
  • Gift from the TI store

The items will be paid out to clubs in the January 2020 timeframe.

Pathways Adoption goals:

  • At a minimum, all club officers are enrolled in Pathways
  • At least one club member is chosen as the Pathways Mentor and will provide a club-approved Pathways training session for new club members and/or experienced club members new to the program.
  • Club earns the following Pathways educational goals
    • P1 (4 Pathways Level 1 awards), and
    • P2 (2 Pathways Level 2 awards)

This incentive will be paid out to clubs in the January 2020 timeframe.


Club and Membership Growth


1. New Club Leads

Individual Submissions:

The first ten Toastmasters that provide a new club lead that results in a demo meeting scheduled before March 1, 2020 will receive a gift from the TI store (worth ~$50 in value).

If the lead results in a new club that charters by March 31, 2020 the individual will receive free general admission (including meals) to the District Conference with special recognition at the District Council meeting. (Incentive is worth ~$120 in value.)

Club Submissions:

The first ten clubs that provide a new club lead that results in a demo meeting scheduled before March 1, 2020, members will receive a choice of the following incentives (worth ~$50 in value):

  • Social media advertising for club
  • Reimbursement for open house or guest day
  • Gift from the TI store

If the lead results in a new club that charters by March 31, 2020, the club will receive an additional Incentive from the choices listed above (worth ~$100 in value).


2. New Clubs

The first ten new clubs that submit charter paperwork 30 days after the demo meeting will receive a district-hosted charter party. (Incentive is worth ~$50 in value.) If a new club submits their charter paperwork between 31 to 60 days after the demo meeting, they will receive a district funded gift of $25 toward a charter party.

New clubs that charter in the 2019-2020 year and remain at charter strength after one dues renewal period will receive a banner and a bag. If the club purchases their banner and bag, they will receive district reimbursement. (Incentive is worth ~$115 in value.)


3. New Members

The first ten clubs that have a net growth of 5 members from their base by April 15, 2020 will be eligible for a Division level drawing to receive a choice of the following incentives (worth ~$50 in value):

  • Social media advertising for club
  • Reimbursement for open house or guest day
  • Gift from the TI store

There will be one winner per division. Winning clubs will be announced at the District Council Meeting at the District Conference.

Clubs that have been assigned a club coach (or have requested a club coach) will receive new member pins for new members added to the club through December 31, 2019. This offer is good for up to 50 members district-wide. (Incentive valued at ~5.50 - $6.50 per new member.)


4. Membership Retention

Any club that has an 80% retention rate from base after the April 1, 2019 dues renewal will be eligible for a Division level drawing to receive a choice of the following incentives (worth ~$50 in value):

  • Social media advertising for club
  • Reimbursement for open house or guest day
  • Gift from the TI store

There will be one winner per Division. Winning clubs will be announced in the newsletter, the conference program and on the website.
